Like every BENROD-ELECTRO amp, the American '57 Deluxe Tweed is a faithful reproduction of the legendary model produced by FENDER® during the late 60's. This amp was the predecessor of the now famous Blackface DELUXE and DELUXE REVERB.
The BENROD-ELECTRO American '57 Deluxe Tweed is entirely handwired following Leo's original 1957 circuit and using carefully selected components.
This is a tube amp that has left its mark in Blues history, offering guitarists of that era sounds from a pureclean sound to an incredible overdriven sound which established the legend of the Tweed amps. It weighs less than 15 kilograms which makes it easy to carry around with no risk of ruining your back! It delivers 14 Watts of power; that's 14 Watts coming out of a tube power section... Which is pretty loud!
The American '57 Tweed Deluxe is a definite legend of its own, in no way comparable to the current reissue, which we believe is not faithful to the original. We highly encourage you to plug one in!
